Easy Management!

Boost is fast to germinate and establish, making it ideal for pasture overseeding. Fast, vigorous growth allows for quicker utilization of the forage produced. Boost exhibits strong resistance to rust and other foliar diseases while maintaining quality. Boost is also endophyte free, so the forage produced is safe for horses. Medium in maturity, Boost mixes well with other grass and legume species in pasture and hay applications.

Planting

Boost can be non-tilled or broadcast over existing pastures in the fall or early spring. It is best to graze or mow pasture short, then overseed 10-20 lbs of seed per acre. Pulling a drag or harrow will help the seed filter through the existing vegetation to reach the soil.

New Pastures

In a prepared seedbed, drill no more than 1/2 inch deep, or broadcast and harrow, 20-30 lbs per seed acre. Roll to provide good seed/soil contact. Fertilizer should be applied according to soil tests and recommendations of your extension agent or fertilizer fieldman. As part of a mixture of several species such as orchardgrass, tall fescue, timothy, and clover, Boost may comprise 20-50% of the mixture.
